Ancient Shu points table

It should be noted that the 6 Shu points of the Yin meridians also correspond to the yuan Point of the organ.
It is the place of passage of the Yuan Qi (original qi) of the organ. As these are points that act directly on the organs, they can be used to treat Zang infections.

Ancient Shu points indications

Each of The 12 meridians Has 5 ancient shu points which Are:

  1. The jing (pronounced ting) well Point , where the river will be born, where the Qi is superficial.
The Jing points are located at the ends and make it possible to treat pain on the route of the meridian, to release the entire meridian and to treat the pain, in particular, in contrast to the meridian.
It is said that they open the orifices, awaken the mind and purge the heat.
  2. The Ying spring point where Qi begins to grow.
Ying points make it possible to treat heat -type manifestations, pain on the meridian route or opposite the meridian.
It is said that they temper and hunt the fire, to eliminate heat and purge the fire.
  3. The Shu stream point or point of transport, makes it possible to treat joint pain and heaviness, as well as the random pain that go and come.
  4. The Jing river point where Qi begins to be stronger and deeper.
The jing points make it possible to identify traffic across the meridian. They can treat pain related to external damage (dyspnea, cough and body cooling with fever, especially when there is hot-cold alternation).
  5. The He sea point where Qi is very important and very deep. It was there that he dives to join the intern.
The points he sea can treat energy counter-cments, pain in the context of counter-current. They can also treat blood stagnation in particular Weizhong BL 40 which activates the blood and clearing the stasis.
In chinese massage, these points will be of great importance. Indeed, they will have a strong action on the organs, it is said that they treat the Zang.

5 movements theory and Wu Shu Xue

Each ancient Shu point is associated with an element according to the following table.

Element of an ancient shu point according to the type of meridian

The Jing point of a Yang meridian corresponds to the fire element. This is the case for example from the point Yangxi LI 5.
The Shu point of a Yin mediein corresponds to the earth element. This is the case for example from the point Taibai SP 3 (it is also the ben Point as a land point Of a meridian Land).

In acupunctural theory, according to the law Of 5 movements, it is possible to treat any type of disease using 2 methods.

Method 1 based on the generation cycle

  • In the event of a deficiency of a zang/fu, tone the 'mother' point of his meridian.
  • In the event of the fullness of a zang/fu, disperse the 'son' point of his meridian.

Examples:
- In the event of a failure deficiency (meridian associated with the earth), I will seek the point of the spleen, that is to say its Ying point.
- If there is a deficiency of the kidney, I am looking for the metal point of the rein meridian, that is its Jing point.
- If there is a deficiency of the bladder, I tone the metal in the water, I tone the Jing point of the bladder.
- In the event of fullness of the liver, I disperse the fire point of the wood, that is the Ying point of the liver.
- If there is a fire of the heart, I dismeperse the earth in the fire, it is the Shu point of the heart.
- If there is a stomach fire, I disperse the metal in the earth, I disperse the jing point of the stomach.

Method 2 which is based on the control cycle

  • In the event of a deficiency of a zang/fu, tone the 'mother' point of his 'mother' meridian.
  • In the event of the fullness of a zang/fu, disperse the 'son' point of his 'son' meridian.

Examples:
- If there is a lack of the spleen, fire on fire, i tone the Ying point of the heart.
- If there is a fullness of the liver, I disperse the fire on the fire, I disperse the Ying point of the meridian of the heart.

These are Ben - root points. They are used to tone the son or disperse the mother

The metal point in the metal on the lung tones the water or disperses the earth.
I treat a meridian by going to another meridian, the one who is generated or the one who generates.

It should be kept in mind that in practice, some of the points selected by these 2 methods do not work as planned by theory.
