Chongyang is on the back of the foot, at the junction between the 2e and 3e metatarsians and cuneiform bones, 1.5 cun of Jiexi.

Therapeutic functions and clinical indications

  • Eliminates the heat of the meridian and regulates the viscera;
  • Used if frequent urine and dry stool: when the spleen is constrained by heat to dry the stool and to clear heat by the urine (chronic case frequently encountered in the elderly).
  • Local point in case of redness and swelling of the back of the foot, muscular atrophy and motor disability of the foot.
