Zhongfu is the Mu point of the Lung, place of concentration of Qi of the lung.
It is also a crossing point with the spleen meridian.

Location of Zhongfu

Zhongfu is located 1 cun below the collarbone, on the inner edge of the coracoid apophysis.
It is located 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline, at the height of the 1st intercostal space (between the 1st and the 2nd rib).

Therapeutic functions and clinical indications of Zhongfu

  • Diffuse lung qi, tone it, regulate it: cough, cough with sputum, dyspnea.
  • Local point to be used in shoulder pathologies.
