This is a very important point because there is no crossing with the Yangweimai which governs the entire surface of the body.

Waiguan location

Waiguan is located on a line that passes through the middle of the outer surface of the forearm, 2 cun above the wrist.

Waiguan therapeutic functions

• Waiguan is used to free up the surface area, chase away the wind, the cold and the heat, against all external attacks.
  It is used more for heat wind than for cold wind;
• This is a point that activates the Qi in the shaoyang (Triple Burner and Gallbladder): syndromes of obstruction or blockage on the VB or TR.
  Headaches, pain in the flanks, on the lateral part of the arms, hips, thighs, legs.

We will pair it with Zulinqi to drain and purge heat.
