Geshu corresponds to the shu point on the back of the diaphragm.
It is also the meeting point of blood.

Location of Geshu

Geshu is located 1.5 cun from the posterior midline, below the horizontal line between vertebrae D7 and D8.

Geshu therapeutic functions

  • For hiccups, for diaphragm diseases : hiatal hernia, paralysis (in quadriplegics), diaphragmatic scoliosis;
  • Shown in all blood diseases(deficiency, heat, qi stagnation);
