Guanyuan (RN 4)

Guanyuan can be translated as 'the yuan barrier'.
It's the Mu point of the'Small Intestine.
It is also the crossing point of the 3 yin of the foot.

Location of Guanyuan

Guanyuan is located 2 cun above the pubis, or 3 below the navel.

Therapeutic functions and clinical indications of Guanyuan

• Guanyuan helps nourish the yin of the kidney and liver;
• It is used to strengthen the yang of the kidney and spleen -> cold type diseases;
• It is a local point for lower abdomen pain, especially gynecological problems.
